Editorial Policy

This page describes how career guides on sheworksremotely.app are made. We would rather be small and accurate than invent a newsroom we do not have.

Who writes

Guides in the Career Resource Center are written by the people building She Works Remotely. They are published under the platform name, not under invented expert identities. We do not claim outside reviewers, academic affiliations, or certifications unless a named person with those credentials actually edits a piece.

What we write about

We write practical guides that match problems our users have: remote job search, resumes and ATS files, interviews, and how to use SWR’s own tools. Career Services tools are product features. Guides explain the work around those features. We do not replace the tools with articles.

Sources and claims

We do not fabricate statistics, salaries, employer quotes, or testimonials. When a number is required, we either omit it or cite a public source we have actually read. Job descriptions reproduced on listing pages come from employers or public boards — they are not SWR-authored career advice.

Review cadence

Each guide shows a published date and a last-reviewed date. We intend to review core guides when tools change or when a reader flags an error — at least when we materially update the product. That is a practice we are implementing; it is not a claim of a large editorial calendar.

Corrections

Email hello@sheworksremotely.app with the page URL and the mistake. We will correct factual errors in the guide and update the reviewed date.

AI use

We may use software to help draft or edit. Every guide is checked so that it does not invent employers, studies, or outcomes. Product tools that use AI (resume scoring, interview practice, career path) are labeled in the product. Their output is assistive, not a hiring decision.
